JCCSA
JCA was founded in 1967 in response to the Six Day War in Israel; communal leaders came together and instituted a single unified fundraising appeal. The community embraced the concept, and JCA was formally established with its inaugural appeal raising $340,000. The ten founding organisations were JewishCare, Montefiore, Isabella Lazarus Home for Children, Moriah College, NSW Jewish Board of Deputies, NSW Board of Jewish Education, NSW Jewish War Memorial Community Centre, Hillel Foundation (now Shalom), King David School (now merged with Moriah) and Wolper Jewish Hospital. The first Allocations Committee was also formed.
Today, fundraising and subsequent allocations cover a percentage of the recurrent annual expenditure of these organisations. JCA also plans for the future needs of our community and works together with the organisations to ensure optimal use of communal resources and the efficient delivery of programs and services.

JCCSA is at the heart of a vibrant network of member organisations that deliver essential programs in Aged and Community Care; Culture, Engagement and Outreach; Holocaust, History and Heritage; Jewish Education; and Security and Advocacy. Every day, these programs enrich the lives of thousands of individuals and families in our local Jewish community – thanks to your support.
Australian Jewish Historical Society
The Australian Jewish Historical Society is dedicated to promoting the understanding and study of Jewry in Australia since 1788. The Society works with the Jewish community to acquire, preserve and make available unique, authentic and significant documents and materials relating to the Jewish people and organisations in Australia. Through its reading room and its website, the details and stories of Australian Jewish life from personal papers, photos, bound newspapers and corporate records sourced from individuals, synagogues, communities and Jewish organisations can come to life.

Jewish Community Services Inc.
JCS Home & Community Support (JCS) is a not-for-profit community organisation established in 1994. In the early days, JCS was known as Jewish Community Services Incorporated and provided support to individuals and families in South Australia’s Jewish Community.
JCS now focuses on providing quality in-home and community support services to frail and older individuals over the age of 65 who reside within the metropolitan areas of Adelaide.
